Jem
Jemma is the founder of Yoga at The Forge and has been practicing yoga for 15 years. Initially, her practice was a substitute to weightlifting and a relaxation tool to combat the stresses of her corporate job. Wanting to take her regular practice further Jemma embarked on a 4-month intensive program in Thailand. On her return to the UK Jemma choose the path of teaching and qualified as a 200hr teacher in 2018 from Nartana Yoga School.
Applying her knowledge of anatomy and physiology within yoga classes Jemma encourages her students to focus on alignment in a respectful way to their individual body. Jemma believes that these studies significantly enhance her yoga teaching a15d will greatly benefit her students.
To date Jemma continues to participate in Yoga teacher training courses always looking to further her knowledge in order to ensure that she is always offering her students the best in the education and practice of Yoga.

Emma
Having practiced Yoga for two years, with a desire to deepen her own practice and extend her knowledge, Emma decided to embark on a teacher training course with Nartana Yoga School. She qualified as a 200hr teacher in 2018.
Having come to Yoga in an attempt to deal with the symptoms of anxiety and stress Emma found, and continues to find, ways in which Yoga practice offers relief from these conditions and more generally breathing space from the busy lives we often lead as well as many physical benefits too. This interplay between mind, body and soul in Yoga continues to fascinate Emma and informs her lessons.
Emma offers lessons in Restorative Yoga and gentle Hatha and offers a safe space with many a prop to encourage the body to release and the mind to follow. Join Emma on the mat to give yourself permission to relax and restore.

Sam
Starting her practice in January 2018, Sam Urquhart came to yoga as a way of recovering from a series of operations. Through it she has been able to find a sense of stillness, peace and strength. She now wants to share the joy yoga has brought her, and the understanding she has gained that nothing is perfect. Sam qualified as a 200hr teacher in 2020 at BE Yoga, Haywards Heath.
Sam has recently completed a teacher training course for Nidra Restore. She enjoys teaching this practice of restorative yoga followed by a Nidra as it provides a true opportunity to rest, de-stress, and be held in a supportive environment. For many of us, the meditative element of yoga can be harder than the physical. But being able to clear your mind can open up a new awareness, and with it a new perspective. Sam aims to bring this to her practice of Nidra and restorative yoga.

Penny
My experience of yoga began over 20 years ago when I was introduced to yoga through a free event at work. Following a sporadic practice for a few years I got hooked on hot vinyasa yoga for a while and started teacher training at The Yoga Garden in 2014.
Since then I’ve been teaching regularly at various studio’s in Sussex alongside a corporate job. In 2025 I’ve taken the much longed for plunge into yoga full time. I love to teach vinyasa and flow based yoga, I also enjoy the benefits of sharing a yin and restorative practice.
I am passionate about spreading my love of yoga to everyone, everywhere. I like to keep my yoga real and grounded, making it accessible to all. I firmly believe that everyone can gain benefits from a regular yoga practice whatever their background or story.
I continue to attend regular workshops and training with a range of different teachers I see it as continuous learning. My yoga journey grows and develops every day and I feel the need to spread the yoga glow.
